Better day

Today was a better day, however Kervin's intestines are still not functioning. The NG (nasal gastric) tube inserted early Tuesday morning finally alleviated some discomfort by draining gastric contents and decompressing his stomach. Because of the necessity of inserting the tube, which was a most unpleasant experience for Kervin, his diet consists of ice chips and tiny sips of water. The surgeon indicated during rounds this afternoon that Kervin's hospital stay will be longer than expected ... the originally anticipated 5-7 days will turn into at least 10 days.

Volunteer Services at the hospital has been busy printing and delivering your emails. Thanks again. Your greetings, words, prayers and wishes continue to be a great encouragement. Many have also "come to the rescue" in transporting and caring for Tyler. We are blessed.
