Sat Feb 7

A message from Kervin:

It wasn’t so long ago that in preaching God’s Word at Centre Street I said, “Life consists of detours which often lead us down unknown pathways. While walking these pathways we discover new things. At times detours feel like they are denials even dead ends. The truth is they are neither. Detours are merely God’s delays. It is in the delay that we discover new things about life and living, about ourselves and about our relationship with God.”

Today our journey toward surgery on February 12th took a detour as I made a decision after speaking with my surgeon to seek a second opinion. This was one of the hardest decisions of my life knowing that this decision would delay the surgery for a season of time and cause us as a family to carry the burden of not knowing what was happening inside my body for a longer period of time. Hard is it was I could not, under the circumstances, go into surgery without the peace of God guarding my heart and mind” (based on Philippians 4:6-7).

Being true to the teaching of God’s Word I know walk the path this detour has taken me watching to discover the new things He has to teach me, and us, in this season of delay!

Thank you sincerely for your continued prayer support. It is an unexplainable comfort to truly feel the prayers of God’s people! We would appreciate your prayers for quick appointment with a second surgeon and a quick rescheduling for surgery.

Your Friend and Fan… of HIS Future!
